Digital Designer

Who you are

You will be a talented individual who has a good eye for design. As a creative Digital Designer your main focus will be supporting the Design Manager and marketing team with the further development of websites, software applications and other design-related assets and graphics.

What you will do:

  • Web design – maintain website graphics on our sites and landing pages.
  • Landing page design, testing and maintenance.
  • Graphic design (adverts, ebooks, infographics, banners, email marketing).
  • Software application UI design.
  • Take design briefs and work independently with our marketing team to deliver on our business goals.
  • Help standardise and implement our software solutions’ visual identities to create effective advertising and marketing collaterals that communicate information and messages – and help to describe our brands and deliver key messages.
  • Identify and implement techniques and solutions that will enhance and improve marketing and communication outputs, at the same time as driving efficiencies.
  • Assist the Design Manager with the day to day workflow of the Marketing team.

We value a Digital Designer with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Strong design portfolio and understanding of typography, layout, colour theory, usability, and design principles.
  • High proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite—primarily, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Ability to use WordPress to a high standard.
  • Sound understanding of fundamental UX and UI principles.
  • Ability to create concepts and ideas.
  • Be fluent in the English language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • A minimum of two year’s hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, vendors, and consultants.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in managing a design projects and communicating, organising requirement meetings, and presenting concepts to internal stakeholders.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with Sketch for website and app development.
  • Experience of brand development and graphic design for print.
  • Awareness of leading front-end frameworks such as Foundation and Bootstrap.
  • Understanding of responsive web design principles.
  • Video production.
  • Illustration or drawing skills.
  • Excellent front-end development skills including HTML, CSS (Sass), jQuery.

Software Developers

Location: Derry, N. Ireland (Full-Time, Permanent)

App Developer (Android and iOS)
